This policy explains what information 8171 Web handles and what it does not. In short: the CNIC tool does not send your number anywhere.
The CNIC check tool
When you type a CNIC number into the tool, it is processed only in your browser. It is not sent to our server or any third party, and it is not saved in cookies, local storage, or session storage. When you close the page or press “Clear and start over”, the number is gone.
The “Send by SMS” button opens your phone’s messaging app with the number filled in. The SMS itself is sent by you, from your phone, to 8171. Your mobile provider and BISP handle that message under their own policies.
Information you send us
If you use the contact form, the page prepares an email in your own email app. We receive your name, email address, and message only if you send that email. We use them to reply and to improve the site. Please do not include your CNIC number, bank details, or passwords in any message to us.
Server and hosting data
Like most websites, our hosting provider may automatically log technical data such as IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps. This is used for security, reliability, and troubleshooting. We do not use it to identify individual visitors.

Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We share it only if the law requires it, or if needed to protect the site and its users from abuse.
